untried keywords are most likely to bring qualified
visitors to your site. By reviewing your past traffic
logs, Chicago Internet can also separate which keywords
are already working from those that aren't.
Site Alterations and Improvements
Using the keywords from the research, Chicago Internet
will make adjustments to the major elements of your
homepage's source code which hold relevance for the
search engines:
- ALT tags - words that
appear on your site when a user mouses over an image
or in lieu of an image when a user's browser has
the graphics turned off
- Comment tags - hidden
comments in a site's source code, typically used
only by programmers, but sometimes also indexed
by search engine spiders
- META tags - most common
are the description and keyword tags; several sites
still rely on the description tag for the listing
that appears on the SERP's
- Title tag - the text
in your webpage's title is considered highly relevant
by search engine spiders, though it's often overlooked
- Robots.txt file - this
simple text document can help encourage some search
engine spiders to crawl your entire site
Additional Recommendations
Chicago Internet will look at your entire web site
and create a customized list of recommendations for
further optimization. Suggested changes, such as adding
internal hyperlinks or altering content headings,
can be implemented by Chicago Internet professional
designers at an additional hourly rate.
Re-Submit By Hand to Selected
Search Engines
After all the changes have been implemented (including
the custom options if you decide to follow through
with the recommendations), your homepage's URL will
be re-submitted by hand to any search engines and
directories which your site has been performing poorly
on. The per URL annual fees associated with guaranteed
inclusion at Inktomi, Lycos/FAST, and Teoma/Ask Jeeves
are all covered by this package.

Other Sites
There are countless search engines and directories
on the Web that you've probably never heard of. That
doesn't mean that one of your potential customers
hasn't though. Chicago Internet has the ability to
automatically submit your site to hundreds upon hundreds
of little known sites. Even more important than being
indexed, though, is the potential for additional inbound
links to help boost your link popularity (one of the
most important factors that Google considers when
computing results).
Follow-up Ranking Report
Following the submissions, ranking reports (using
the same 15 keywords as the original) will be created
to see where your site now places in the results.
You will receive these reports two, four, and six
months after the submissions are complete.

If your website features interior pages with keyword-laden
copy (such as a products or services page), it would
beneficial to optimize these pages as well. For each
additional page you would like optimized, the HTML
copy, the ALT tags, comment tags, META tags, and title
tags will be adjusted to reflect the new keyword emphasis;
that page's URL will be submitted to any search engine
that doesn't automatically crawl the entire site,
and will also have guaranteed inclusion in the Inktomi,
Lycos, and Teoma databases.
